Nana Tandoh, Chief Executive Officer and President, Kasamore
Nana was introduced by Sam Lopez, Chairman of the Board; Florida Puerto Rico Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Thank you, Sam. It’s great to be here again. I appreciate all the work you do to advance the Hispanic community in our country. This organization has a long and productive history. I’d also like to thank Crystal Colon for making this meeting possible.
There’s a lot of talk lately about whether the economy is turning the corner. We’re forecasting a slow but steady return to growth in the second half of the year, and continuing in 2010. Even so, we expect unemployment to lag the recovery, and continue at high levels well into 2010. It will continue to feel like a recession for those Americans who can’t find a job, who have lost their home or healthcare, or who are struggling in a number of ways to care for their families.
I know the situation is discouraging. But I also have a deep, abiding faith in the ability of Americans to rise up, even against very tough odds, given the availability of resources and willing partners. With the hectic lives that people live these days, it can be so easy to lose touch with the people that matter the most, by providing phone cards with no fees of any kind. Kasamore is helping to bring families and friends closer together, no matter how many miles separate them.
For many Hispanics, prepaid phone cards are the main connection to home cities and villages across Latin America and the world. We at Kasamore understand consumer’s frustration with the existing calling card services on the market, that is why we offer an international calling card service featuring low international calls and domestic calls with no contract and no fees, moreover, the sound quality of the calls are guaranteed to be of high standard.
Thanks to everyone at FPRHCC for allowing an opportunity to visit.
